[Poetry] may make us from time to time a little more aware of the deeper, unnamed feelings which form the substratum of our being, to which we rarely penetrate; for our lives are mostly a constant evasion of ourselves. — T.S. Eliot

Love in a Layman's Terms -

"If you asked most people if they considered themselves 'poets' they would say 'no'. Ask them if they've ever been in love and they'd tell you 'yes'. That is what makes 'Hungers of the Heart' a rare poetical gift: it puts poetry into a language that we've all felt. Michael takes the shooting star we all wish upon and grounds it to the earth ... In 'Hungers of the Heart', we can return to the dream page after page and drink our fill of 'what could have been and what was' while also sipping from the cup of 'what could still be': true love. He makes us believe it is still possible to love deeply and soulfully though we've been hurt by love and left for dead. Michael is a poet for every season and for every man who wants to understand, and communicate with, the soul of a woman."

I first created www.michaelpalmer.net site back in August, 1998 to put my own personal poetry online. After three years and many wonderful comments by people who "surfed on" back when the Internet was fun to surf, inspired me to publish my poems.

This site is mostly about romance and love. I have tried to make the poems comes alive by using images and graphics. I've included information about the author if you would like to know more about me.

Please be sure to sign my Guest Book after you have had a chance to peruse through these pages.  To contact me, see poetry page.
