Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo on the south side of Florence.

This first terrace on top of the Hotel Guelfa. In the background, you can see Palazzo Vecchio or Piazza della Signoria.

This is me on the top terrace of Hotel Guelfa. Behind me you can see the Duomo. I spent many hours up here just enjoying the view, away from the crowds, journaling, and enjoying seeing Florence from a 360 degrees. I have video of this I am posting soon.

This view from the top terrace is opposite looking towards Palazzo Pitti. You can't see it, but the Arno river is below.
You can see the top of the Ponte Vecchio bridge in the middle of the picture.

West of Piazzale Michelangelo. Here you can see the old city wall. This is looking towards to Boboli Gardens.

Merry-go-round in the Piazza della Repubblica. For some reason, this reminded me of Vincent in Beauty and the Beast.

I took a lot of pictures in the early morning like this to avoid crowds and "feel" the city.
