Worlds Collided
I hear its melody, its earth tones, blowing whispers And I am transported back; back to warm August nights Of you and I when two worlds collided.
My orbit came too close to yours Next pass felt the pull of your sway. Before realizing it, unable to break away; Your gravitational draw caressed my Terroir.
Weeks passed, remained in your path flight Unable to free my world from your magnetic field Waiting the inevitable pull into your atmosphere Feverishly on fire, dropping after such a height.
And as I pass from the heavenly to the earthly, Become a shooting star For other lovers to see Perhaps…, they will wish upon me.
