"One either moves toward love or away from it. There is no other direction."
                                                                                      - Vincent

"Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures."
                                                                                                                 - Henry Ward Beecher

One must learn to love, and go through a good deal of suffering to get to it...and the journey is always towards the other soul...
D.H. Lawrence

"I have enjoyed the happiness of the world; I have lived and loved."
Johann vonSchiller
(1759-1805) German poet

I also would like to say one needs to read poetry as one drinks wine - slowly, thoughtfully, purposely. Each word, each line, each placement of a poet's word is there for a reason. If you read it to fast, glazing over the words, you are missing much of the meaning. Like wine, you have to hold it, swirl it, smell it, taste it and lastly, savor it.

"There are those who possess the deeper recesses of our souls than all others. It is a place none can reach; not because they do not wish to, but because it is a place which does not belong to them, or to ever touch" - Michael Palmer

Michael Wilkinson, sculptor: site featuring amazing sculptures by and philosophy of a true romantic realist. His sculptures are multifaceted clear lucite. They depict and celebrate the ecstasy and spirituality of romantic love between a man and woman. Absolutely stunning work from a modern master.  I had the great pleasure of meeting Michael Wilkinson in 2001 while he was doing a show in Fort Worth, Texas.
