Rose-Colored
I was given a beautiful rose today Throughout the day it opened Showing delicate pedals and leaves In wonderment of greens and
reds
All day long I delighted in its color, Aroma, and even its textured, Amazed how quickly I loved it.
But late evening as the sun set It began to wilt and die. I thought the flower loved me too
Through a rose-colored eye I could still only see This one beautiful rose among many
It was not mine keep I gently had to let go Allow my beautiful rose to fade away
